TESTIMONIALS
This link called testimonials is not about me and what I have accomplished to this point in my Forensic career. It is about the people who are responsible for getting me there.
Many people have accused me of living in the past. I do not live in the past, I just have not forgotten it. There is a difference.
I live and work " outside the box " as they say, I can tell you this makes for a good Profiler. The people listed below have been and are to this day, responsible for where I am.
I remember growing up hearing the phrase, " Take a person fishing and you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him for a life time." To each and everyone of you. Thank you,
Anthony J. Iantosca, BCFE
Vincent J. Scalice, BCFE
I met Vince Scalice in 1993 when I became a menber of the American Board of Forensic Handwriting Analysts, now the American College of Forensic Examiners. From that first day until he passed away in 1997, we were either on the phone together or traveling back and forth from his office / lab in Staten Island N.Y. to the office here in Boston.
Vince taught me so much about Forensics. He was your old time gum shoe. The cases that Vince worked on were legendary. As a Forensic Expert in his field, Vince was the best of the best. As a human being he had a heart of gold. There is not one day that passes by that I do not think of him with a smile on my face, and a tear in my eye.
I am quite sure that many of the fifteen thousand current members of the American college of Forensic Examiners never heard the name of Vincent J. Scalice. If it were not for Vince this organization would not exist. Vince put his name and reputation on the line back when it was called the American Board of Forensic Handwriting Analysts, Inc. Vince changed the name, gave it a new logo and the Forensic credibility you have today.
It was Vince Scalice and Ron Rice and their credentials that gave the ACFE any creditability. I can tell you first hand, I was there. At that time the ABFE / ACFE had one hundred members. I am still a member, my membership number # is 107.
Ronald H. Rice, BCFE
I first met Ron seventeen years ago, we are still together to this day. No other person has taught me more about Therapeutic / Forensic profiling, Document Examination and Investigatory procedures than Ron. In my estimation he is second to non in Forensic Profiling and understanding human behavior. In the seventeen years I have known him, worked with him there has not been one day I have not learned something from him. That in itself is extraordinary.
What separates Ron from many other Forensic Expert's. Ron is street smart. That is what gives him the edge. Theory is one thing, to truly understand the street, you have to live and work in the street. Ron has taken theory and applied it to actual street investigations. That is what makes him so knowledgeable and so irreplaceable.
Russell Chin, Esq.
I met Russell over fifteen years ago, through a very close friend at Boston Municipal Court. I remember the first time we had lunch together in Boston's Chinatown. I had a concept that I wanted to talk to him about, I wanted to open a Forensic Service Division working out of a law firm, a one stop shopping so to speak. Russell was about to open his new Law Firm of Chin, Wright & Branson, P.C. So he had a lot on his plate. Russell looked at me smiled and said, lets go for it.
Russell did not know me that well yet and Forensics was not as popular as it is today. Russell took a big risk and at that time a lot of heat from the other Attorney's who did not fully understand the concept. Russell and I have been together ever since. He is the Academy's Corporate Counsel, my personal Attorney and the Attorney to many of the people in my personal and professional life. In my early years in Forensics, Russell gave this concept a chance, when many others would not.
Pearl Wong
I first met Pearl over twenty years ago when she started training in my Martial Arts School in Boston's Chinatown. From the first day I met her, to this day, she has worked with me, helped me and stood beside me. Most of the reports I have written for the cases I have worked on , were typed and spell checked by Pearl. When I was exposed to my first computer, it was Pearl and her sister Alice, who taught me how to operate it.
Pearl was working for the Law Firm Of Chin, Wright & Branson, P.C. when we opened the Forensic Services Division. Pearl's work load at that time, as it is today is not to be believed. I will never forget our first investigation, I needed to obtain video on a subject for one of the Attorneys working at the Law Office. I found the subject working in an after hours club in R.I. with his rock and roll band. On the front door of this club it had "Welcome F@#K You" written in red paint. This place was a real hell hole. Pearl walked in with me, with a smile on her face, and a surveillance camera hidden in her hair.
Pearl works behind the scene, gets the job done. She does the work of five people. Pearl is your true unsung hero. Pearl makes all of us look better than we really are. Yet, she is always there to help me. This woman never complains. Pearl is now a Paralegal in her own right. What she has accomplished over this last ten years is nothing less than extraordinary. Over this last twenty years she has been an inspiration to me.
If you ever meet Pearl you would understand why. Many of my clients have asked me to write a book on Profiling. If I ever do write a book one day, it will be called " HERO'S " in my darkest hour it was always Pearl who kept me on my feet.
I believe we all need a hero in our lives, someone who you can really believe in, look up to, truly depend on. Pearl is my one and only true hero. If I ever write a book one day, it will be about Pearl.
